Buyers beware, the “Apple Airport Extreme Base Station 802.11a/b/g/n wireless + 4-Port Ethernet. *Used/Good Condition*” is actually the 2007 version!! OWC says they are selling at 59.99 from the cost 170. It doesn’t cost 170 NOW, but it did cost that much once, and OWC choose to use that price. LOL.
Also the newer ones has dual band simutanious. This one is not.
Actually, there are three versions of the Airport Extreme Base Station currently available:
APLA1143 – Apple Airport Extreme Base Station 802.11a/b/g/n wireless + 4-Port Ethernet. – version from January 2007 (single band with fast ethernet – 10/100).
APLA1143G – Apple Airport Extreme Base Station 802.11a/b/g/n wireless + 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet – version from Fall of 2007 (which made the jump from fast ethernet to gigabit ethernet – 10/100/1000).
APLA1143 – Apple Airport Extreme Base Station 802.11a/b/g/n Dual Band wireless + 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet -version from March 2009 (which added dual band capability).
The comparative pricing is consistent on the site, as for all three models Apple’s MSRP lists at $179.
