    Currently the cable is USB 2.0.
    Whether the lightning connector be be upgraded to terminate a USB 3 connection remains to be seen. I’m sure Apple knows this :)

    Does Lightning have the same theoretical limit of USB2?
    Obviously was hoping for Thunderbolt for immediate mass file xfer, enhanced product integration, and most importantly lag-free DSLR/Blackmagic monitoring w/ or w/o uncompressed recording (preferably via iPad/Tablet, iPhone for additional storage or smaller setups).
