While it has been well documented online that the new Mac Pro models hit a stock issue with orders being delayed, it looks like Apple is ramping up shipping times. One order we had that was delayed until January 2014 is showing that its shipping earlier.
So hopefully more fellow “Mac heads” out there will be receiving notice that their Mac Pros will be arriving early, and maybe early enough to take a tax write-off for 2013!
I can’t complain- mine was due to ship originally on December 30, and shipped instead on the 23, so I had it on the 24. Still getting things setup with main User folder on an external RAID drive (Pegasus J4 purchased from OWC) but early indications are very good, and the D500 GPU’s seem quite capable. Would be cool if they could add Aperture support for Open-CL
