With March Comes Savings At Other World Computing

globe-garage_saleSpring is near, and as always, it brings change. Changing of clocks, changing of the weather from a polar vortex to a slightly-less-polarish vortex (at least here at OWC headquarters in Woodstock, Ill.) But one thing never changes: OWC’s great Garage Sale deals. And this month’s crop is no exception, boasting hundreds of new items!

Here are just a few of the highlights of what we are clearing out during our early spring cleaning this month:

Want to get an early heads up on Garage Sale deals? Just subscribe to our Tips & Deals Newsletter and Hot Deals blasts and you’ll get the “inside scoop” on upcoming Garage Sale deals. They’re free to join and, unlike some other places, we don’t sell our subscriber lists to anybody.

As always, items are “first come, first served” and of varying limited quantities, so you’ll want to act quickly. Quantities are limited to that which is on hand and items automatically count down and ‘disappear’ as sold out. Sorry… no rain checks.

  • Hello, I’ve a powermac g5/1.8-dp, What do I need to install a ssd? 2 I’d like to use the motherboard pci slot as the install
Point, is this possible? Any speed increase is a plus, will I need an adapter? The OS that I’m using is 10.5.8.
If Ive got to use a drive sled or something both of my drive bays are taken, could I mount the ssd elsewhere?
    Thanks for any input,
    Dan Schafer

    • There are no mounting solutions for drives outside of your two drive bays. The best solution would be installing 2 SSDs into the 2 drive bays in by using our NewerTech AdaptaDrive and our OWC Mercury Electra 3G SSDs. You may then move the Hard Drives externally and connect via FireWire or use a PCI slot to obtain an eSATA connection.

To get further details on a setup we would recommend to contact
      our sales team.
