  • Would like to upgrade my MacPro (late 2013 with pallel 15 installed) intel processor so that it can run windows 11.
What intel processor can i use
    Thank you
    Kuan

  • I noticed that OWC doesn’t offer the Intel Xeon E5-2667 v2 8-Core 3.3GHz with 25MB Cache as an upgrade over the Factory E5-1680 8-Core 3.0GHz Option. Is there a reason for this OR is that an oversight?

    • I mean to say it is not listed except as a 8 core upgrade over a 4 core upgrade.

  • Is there any word on on-board SSD upgrades as hinted at earlier this year? It would be interesting to combine such an upgrade with a CPU upgrade during a single shipment.

    • Hi Kelly, we can’t comment about product release dates here. But continue to check back to the Rocket Yard for any official announcements.

  • if a customer sells their CPU to OWC, is it possible to have one of these as the upgrade, like say from 4 core to 8 core?

    • Certainly. The OWC Turnkey Upgrade Program gives you the option to install a processor with more cores than the 2013 MacPro originally came with, such as installing an 8 core processor into a machine with a 4 core from Apple. You also have the option to trade in the old processor with us for a discount on the price of the upgrade, or we can mail you the old processor back with the machine. For all the upgrade options currently available through the OWC Turnkey Upgrade Program please use that link to check out the Turnkey order page. If you have any further questions you can also contact our tech support team via phone at 800-869-9152, or 815-338-8685 internationally; by chat; or by e-mail.
