ThunderBay IV Brings Software RAID 5 to Your Mac

owc_thunderbay_drives_lrThe ThunderBay IV RAID 5 Edition will take your productivity to a whole new level with up to 35% faster RAID 5 performance and exponentially faster rebuild times than comparable hardware RAID arrays!

And since it’s software RAID, you’ll have access to features such as drive monitoring and e-mail notifications so you can stay informed about your ThunderBay’s performance and drive health. And the extremely flexible SoftRAID can easily be updated, reconfigured and used across multiple enclosures.

First Software RAID 5 for the Mac – Ever!
Software RAID 5 technology has never existed for the Mac until now. And the ThunderBay IV RAID 5 Edition takes full advantage, offering faster performance than many competing 4- or even 5-bay hardware RAID external drives.

Its dual Thunderbolt ports let you connect your supported display of your choice, including 4K displays. And you can daisy-chain up to six ThunderBays for massive storage capabilities and increased performance, or even connect multiple ThunderBays to multiple Thunderbolt ports to achieve exponential speed capabilities!

Speed + Data Redundancy
RAID 5 merges the four drives inside ThunderBay together for exponential performance gains over a single drive, the combined capacity of three of the drives, and data redundancy. That means if one of your drives were to fail, your array will still work and you won’t lose any of your data.

Order Your ThunderBay IV RAID 5 Edition Today!
The ThunderBay IV RAID 5 Edition is priced from $899 and offers up to a massive 20TB of storage!

  • Awesome now waiting for the SoftRaid5 software as I’m still working the Ol’ MacPro Tower.
I use SoftRaid 4.5.3 now and would love to have Raid5 internally on my 4 drives.
