I would like to get one but I’m left handed and would need the trackpad to go on the left but from what i see the keyboard
is marked for the left side in the leather. Is this the case or can i simply just use it the way i wish?

The leather mousepad section can be added to the right side or the left side of an Apple keyboard, or left off completely to use an Apple keyboard with numeric keypad or the Apple Magic Trackpad.
Short answer: Good for right- or left-handed use. :-)
