Newer Technology, Inc. today announced today that its NuGuard KX, a kinetic energy X-Orbing protective case for iPhone 4/4S/5 models, is a finalist in the “New Product or Service of the Year – Consumer Electronics” category of the 2013 American Business Awards. As a finalist, Newer Technology will ultimately be awarded a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award during the ABA awards ceremony held in San Francisco this September. 

Newer Technology Selected As Finalist From More Than 3,200 Entries

More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for this year’s competition in categories including the New Product or Service of the Year – Consumer Electronics category. More than 100 business professionals nationwide chose finalists during preliminary judging in April and May. Later this month, 10 specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements with the results announced in September.

Newer Technology, Inc. announced today that the NuGuard KX, a kinetic energy ‘X-Orbing’ protective case for Apple iPhone 5 and iPhone 4/4S models, was named a winner in the Beatweek Best of Show awards for 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Beatweek’s on-site editorial team presented awards to the most innovative new consumer tech products among the tens of thousands of new products introduced in various categories by the thousands of vendors exhibiting at CES. The Beatweek Best of Show 2013 awards will be included in the next issue of Beatweek Magazine to be released on Tuesday, January 15.

Other World Computing Receives Inc. Hire Power Award for Private Companies Leading the Way in Creation of American Jobs

Other World Computing announced today that it has been featured in the inaugural ranking of Inc.’s Hire Power Awards, an awards program created to recognize privately-held businesses that have created the most new jobs in the past three years. Other World Computing increased its full-time professional staff by 36 percent from 2008 to 2011, placing it among the top three job creators within the computer hardware industry. To qualify for the list, businesses must be U.S.-based, be founded in 2007 or earlier, and have had at least 50 employees as of December 31, 2011.

More than 400 companies were honored with Hire Power Awards spanning all types of businesses and industries. Among the winners were GoDaddy.com, Smile Brands, and Smashburger. The Hire Power Awards will appear in Inc.’s December/January issue, as well as the brand’s web site, www.inc.com. Article Continues…
