How many times a day do you wish you could tell people exactly what you think? I mean exactly what you think. That guy who cut you off in traffic just to beat you to the next stop light. The girl at Starbucks who heard you order nonfat milk yet decided to make it with milk straight from the udder. The coworker who clips his nails at his desk. The guy popping his gum seemingly in your ear from the seat behind you on the train. The point is, saying exactly what you think is sometimes discouraged, and holding our tongues about it often saves us from being punched in the face. But what if someone wanted to know exactly what you thought? And they wanted to know what you thought so bad that they were willing to enter you in a drawing to win a free iPad mini if you told them? What if I told you that OWC wants to do just that?! If that excites you, read on.
OWC wants to know what you think in order to gage interest in a new, exciting, and innovative event. We are considering hosting an annual conference where Macintosh product users can network and interact with other Macintosh users, attend educational sessions on a number of different topics, and visit an exhibition all featuring the newest and coolest products in the industry today! We want to know your thoughts! So please, give us your feedback.
And in order to thank you for your feedback, you will be entered into a drawing to win a FREE iPad Mini. (Open to US residents only.) See, we take care of you. So think good thoughts about us, would ya?

No, we’re not looking past the extravaganza that is CES (It’s just around the corner!). But it’s never too early to look forward to another exciting event.
The Macworld | iWorld expo has been set once again and will run from January 31 to Feburary 2 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. You can bet that the friendly faces of Other World Computing will be there in Booth 401, so if you plan on going, be sure to stop by! And as always, we will have plenty of new gear to show off and demo for those in attendance.
We have a limited number of FREE Expo Hall passes to give away. You can claim yours now and we’ll see you in San Francisco January 31 – February 2, 2013! Hurry, quantities are limited.
But we can’t tell you what we have up our sleeves just yet, so bookmark the OWC Blog and keep checking back for our Macworld announcements and updates on what we have in store!
Well, it’s that time of year again, and while not everybody can be at the Macworld | iWorld Expo in San Francisco (though if you are, make sure to visit us at Booth 513), we want to make sure everybody can get our Expo specials.
Yesterday, we mentioned that we’re knocking 20%+ off the full line of Elgato HDTV/DVR/Video solutions for Mac. While this is a great offer in and of itself, we’ve got a whole bunch more in store for you, too. Here are a few highlights of our other specials:
Free shipping is available on most orders $99 and up as well as for most memory orders $45 and up. But you better act fast – you only have until January 31.
After announcing all our great new products to the industry at CES, we’re now bringing them to the people! We’ll be at Macworld | iWorld Expo in San Francisco (January 26-28, at the Moscone Center) at Booth #513. If you’re attending the show, you can get a first-hand peek at new releases like:
So come on out and say hello; we can’t wait to see you.
Well, another Macworld Expo has come and gone. While Apple isn’t a live presence any more, OWC has taken up the hardware torch and managed to keep things hopping with our new OWC Mercury Aura Pro solid state drives.
When it comes to upgrading your 2008-2010 MacBook Air, the only upgrade avenue you have is to replace the internal drive with something faster. OWC’s Mercury Aura Pro line of SSDs allows you to upgrade your MacBook Air’s internal drive to a super-fast, Sandforce-based SSD, which provides not only a tremendous speed boost, but also offers consistent performance over time due to the wear-leveling technology in all OWC SSDs.
But enough about the Auras themselves; we’ve had plenty to say about them already. It’s time to talk about all the love the Mac media community has given us.
Let’s start off with the big guns – the “Best of Show” awards. The OWC Mercury Aura Pro Express for 2010 MacBook Air won three of these prestigious honors:
- One from Macworld magazine, host of the Expo, themselves.
- One was in the form of a 2011 Mac|Life award from the magazine of the same name, who “can’t wait to get our hands on these babies.”
- The last was from Notebooks.com, who gave us their “Best Mac Hardware Upgrade” title and noted that “the blazing fast data transfer rates and higher capacity make the MacBook Air even better.”
And that was just the tip of the iceberg. Article Continues…
