Last year, Other World Computing ran away from the competition in the “Best Mac Peripheral Reseller” category of the About.com 2012 Readers’ Choice Awards. And this year, you can help OWC repeat its victory for the 2013 awards!
Voting is very easy and is now open to the public. All you need to do is visit the site and login with your About.com account, Facebook account, or simply enter your email address – then choose Other World Computing from the list of finalists and click submit. Voting is open until March 19 and you can vote once every 24 hours until voting is closed. The winners will be announced on March 27.
In 2012, OWC topped three other finalists including giant coast-to-coast reseller Best Buy earning an incredible 92 percent of all votes cast. So vote early and often and help us once again show the world how we make the OWC Difference!
Recently, we’ve been asking for your vote in the “Visit Me at CES!” video contest on the OWC Blog. Well, the votes have been tallied and you came through! OWC’s video has been named one of the winners and will be displayed on the CES 2013 website, in newsletters and on social media channels!
This victory once again proves that OWC is not only one of the sweetest names in upgrades, but also that we have the sweetest customers.
If you didn’t get a chance to see the video or vote, here’s another look:

We know, we know… procrastinating is just so satisfying. But we here at Other World Computing ask you to procrastinate in your procrastination and vote for OWC’s entry in the “Visit Me at CES!” video contest before time runs out. Voting officially ends on November 30, so you’ll have to act fast!
In the contest, exhibitors create short-but-fun videos to draw attendees to their booth. The public votes on the best videos, and a winner is featured on the main CES website. To vote, simply visit the contest website, watch the OWC video, and click the vote button.
Here are some rules for voting.
- You have to be registered to the contest website in order to cast a vote. (You don’t need to have a video submitted, just a registration.)
- Voting will end at 11:59:59 PM EST on November 30, 2012.
- There is a limit of one (1) vote per valid registration, per video, per day.
And that’s it! Now go ahead and vote so you can get back to doing, well…nothing. ;-)
A little while ago, we mentioned that the OWC Mercury Accelsior PCI Express SSD and the Newer Technology Power2U AC/USB In-Wall Charging Solution were named as finalists for the 2012 American Business Awards “New Product or Service of the Year” category.
While the final “Stevie Award” winner is determined by a panel of distinguished judges…YOU can vote on what you feel should be the People’s Choice in that category.
But you have to hurry as voting ends Wednesday, August 29th.
All you need to do is head on over to the award voting site at the following links and hit the “Submit” button to make the OWC Mercury Accelsior PCI Express SSD and the Newer Technology Power2U AC/USB In-Wall Charging Solution your Choice.
Like OWC Larry said, “We are proud to once again be a finalist in the American Business Awards program, as we think the Mercury Accelsior is a true game-changer, bringing an unrivaled performance boost to any PCIe-equipped computer. This award incentivizes the entire OWC team to continue to raise the bar in product innovation, technical support, and customer service so we can provide our customers the innovation upgrades they need to make the most of the tech they have.”
So let’s get the word out that the OWC Mercury Accelsior PCI Express SSD and the Newer Technology Power2U AC/USB In-Wall Charging Solution are the real People’s Choice!
Well, we’re in the final stretch for this year’s “Visit Me at CES” video contest. Voting ends today, so if you’re waiting until the last minute to vote for us, you’d better act now! And for those who have already voted for us – you can go ahead and vote for us again!
All you need to do is:
- Go to the CES video contest page.
- Find OWC’s video – videos are apparently listed randomly, so you need to search for “CES: The Countdown” titled video.
- Click the Vote button by our video (you may have to register and/or log in first).
- Click the Vote button nine more times.
Contrary to our original post a couple of weeks ago it seems you can vote up to ten times per day, so with this being the last day, that’s ten more votes you can give us.
