Whenever the wind blows here at Other World Computing headquarters in Woodstock, Ill., we are reminded of our commitment to the environment in the form of our Vestas V39-500 kW wind turbine.
Now on windy days, we will also have a reminder of our commitment to our customers with our spiffy new “OWC 25 Years” flag. The flag was raised in honor of our 25th year of providing award-winning products, service, and support to the Apple community and tech industry.
Earlier this month, we kicked off our 25th year with a giveaway sweepstakes and fundraising campaign with charity: water with great success so far. And the flag is just another way we want to share this special milestone and serve as a reminder of our commitment to the “OWC Difference” in years past and for many years to come!

OWC got a little greener today. Our new Vestas V39 Wind Turbine went online today and is now generating the electricity needed to run the OWC corporate facility, including its datacenter, with plenty of energy to spare, which will be sold back to the local power company.
By going the extra mile and planning to generate more than 100% of its total power needs on-site, OWC demonstrates its commitment to the future, its community and the environment.
