owc_radio_album_art

Tim talks with the founder and CEO of the Songwriting Charity. Based in the U.K., the Songwriting Charity is a wonderful organization that teaches and encourages children the craft of songwriting, and Nathan Timothy talks about its history.

Of course, no OWC Radio would be the complete without our new Three Random Questions, one of which is “Pirate or Ninja?!” What would YOU choose? Plus, Tim talks about the newly announced OWC Aura SSD for Mac Pro and the OWC Thunderbolt 2 Dock.

  • i have a IMac (2009) 16 gigs of ram purchased at OWC, I recently installed Photoshop 2014, when opened it says I need more VRAM I think I have 512 how much more would I need to be able to use the 3d and animation and how much would it cost, is there a video on how to install thank you

    • VRAM stands for Video RAM, which is part of the graphics card on your iMac. I’m sorry to say that the Graphics card cannot be upgraded on your iMac, so you’ll be stuck with what you have.

You can check which graphics card and how much VRAM it has within the System Information. To check this go to the Apple Menu -> About this Mac -> More Info -> System Report -> Graphics/Displays. It will then give you details about your graphics card and how much VRAM you have.

Adobe lists the system requirements and recommendations here.
