An Apple II Watch While You Wait for Your Apple Watch

While many people were staying up late last night to place their Apple Watch pre-orders, others were likely already looking forward to getting their hands on an Apple Watch II, or rather, an “Apple ][” watch.

As Apple World Today points out, Instructables.com has an awesomely retro Apple Watch build of its own. Instructables user Aleator777 claims that the watch even “runs at a blistering (by early 1980’s standards) 72 MHz” and also keeps the time and date. Not too bad for a watch…

OWC Jamie even came across his original Apple ][ wrench today as you can see below, but fortunately it’s not necessary to work on this particular model.
