How to Install 64GB of OWC RAM Into Late ’15 iMac Retina 5K

Upgrading your iMac with more memory is one of the easiest ways to get better performance from your machine. And just like the original 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display, a memory access panel on the rear of the Late 2015 model ejects via a button, making the memory upgrade even easier.

In this installation video, we show you how to easily install up to 64GB of OWC memory in a Late 2015 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display.

  • You guys sell great disk enclosures and have great pre and post sale service. I realize that you would not want to jeopardize this reputation but have you thought of OWC suggested techies to actually do this work? In the past I would have considered doing this sort of addition but now my right hand shakes uncontrollably at times due to Parkinson’s Disease..

    • Where do you live William, I am in the Milwaukee area and would be happy to help if you are close.
This idea would also help those who are queasy to do it themselves .

    • Hello William,

Thank you for your question. At this time we do not offer a turnkey service to send in this new iMac. But with that being said, we do offer RAM installation for this iMac. For more information on this, please feel free to contact our Technical Support Team!
