Place Your MacSales.com Orders By These Dates

Shipping_2015

If you’ve already placed your holiday orders, there’s still one key to ensuring all faces are smiling Christmas morning – getting the packages on time (If you haven’t, here are some great gift and stocking stuffer ideas!).

In order to make sure that you receive your MacSales.com orders in time, we’ve outlined shipping dates for different carriers:

  • USPS First Class Mail & MacSales.com SuperSaver options – by Tuesday, Dec. 15
  • UPS and FedEx Ground – by Friday, Dec.18
  • UPS and FedEx 2nd Day Air by Tuesday, Dec. 22
  • UPS and FedEx Overnight by Wednesday, Dec. 23

Below are some other timeless tips to ensure you receive your holiday orders in time, and be sure to check out the MacSales.com shipping page for additional information.

Tip #1: Aim for Wednesday, Dec. 23rd as your absolute last date for receipt. – Thursday, Dec. 24th is a delivery day for most carriers so if for some reason your shipment is delayed; you have an extra day, just in case.

Tip #2: Watch where your package is shipping from and that company’s daily shipping deadlines. For our customers, most of our orders ship from our Woodstock, Ill. location, so shipping is only a day for anywhere in Illinois, a good chunk of Wisconsin and Iowa, and some of Michigan, Indiana and Missouri. We also have a shipping facility in Nevada for enhanced order processing and fulfillment. We recommend always planning for the item to ship from Woodstock, Ill. and if it ships from NV, it will be early! Why spend more on faster shipping if you don’t have to? Our daily shipping deadlines vary by carrier and service, so you’ll want to make sure you check our Shipping Options page to make sure you order is in on time.

Tip #3: Watch the weather. Winter is coming and, typically, that means winter storms aren’t too far behind. A good storm can easily ground cargo planes or cause accidents for the trucks on the road, and that can cause delays both big and small. If there’s a storm coming, select a faster method than you need, just in case. Cutting your time in half, if possible, will help make sure that if something does go wrong, you still walk away happy.

Tip #4:  Ship to yourself as often as possible. Responsible merchants will be confirming credit card information to help prevent credit card fraud to their customers during the holiday season. Shipping to the same address your card-issuing bank has on file for you will ensure speedy processing and fewer delays.
