  • I read on the internet that this drive in fact is using 2 chip sets. 1 Marvel RAID and 2 Silcon Image. If you buy say the 480GB drive it is actually 2x240GB SSD RAIDED in RAID 0 to give you 480GB of storage. Because of this setup the drive is incapable of letting the OS collect SMART. Is this drive using 2 different chipsets? Why wouldn’t you utilize a single chip solution, Marvel and Silcon Image both make one? You’d have SMART capability and less chance of data loss since the drive is not in RAID 0 configuration.
