See Why This Podcaster Chose a 2012 OWC Refurbished Mac mini in 2016

MacMini_RearTech enthusiast, podcaster and professional wrestler Stevie Richards has an affinity for Apple products. However, after becoming frustrated by the lack of easy upgradability in most current models, Richards opted to go back a generation for his next Mac.

Richards found what he needed at MacSales.com with an OWC Refurbished 2012 Mac mini that gave him the performance he needed at a great value. The Refurbished Mac mini came with two internal drives – a 256GB SSD as well as a 1.0TB HDD – a 2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, and 16GB of RAM. The 2012 mini also provides the future upgrade flexibility that Richards was looking for in his Mac.

In a video on his YouTube channel, Richards unboxed his “new” Mac mini and also put it through some performance testing. You can see Richards’ entire video below and see why he was impressed with his OWC Refurbished Mac mini from MacSales.com.

  • I now have three of these upgradable Mac mini’s and an upgradable iMac 27″. I will keep them for as long as possible and likely forego a OS update if they are deemed end-of-life. I resent not being able to fix my hard drive (or add a SSD!) and upgrade my memory in the new “sleeker” designs..
