Apple ended speculation Monday about the timing of its next event, sending out media invites for a Sept. 7 date at 10 a.m. (Pacific Time) at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, Calif. The event will likely be iPhone-centric, following the pattern of the past several years.

It is expected that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus among other things will be unveiled with new specs and a new design. The event will also likely feature the release date for the next generation of Apple’s operating systems – iOS 10, the newly named macOS Sierra, watchOS 3 and tvOS 10.

Be sure to check back to the Rocket Yard in the coming days for more details.

Update: According to MacRumors.com, Siri has witty responses to inquiries about Sept. 7.
