UPDATE: Apple has issued media invites (above) and will, in fact, hold an event at noon central time on Oct. 27.

With the holidays right around the corner, Apple will reportedly soon be announcing new Macs.

According to Recode, Tim Cook & Co. are planning an Oct. 27 event “at or near Apple’s Cupertino campus” where they will unveil the latest in their Mac lineup.

Rumor roundup: Here are some guesses about what to expect Oct. 27

It’s not clear which Macs will receive updates or refreshes on Oct. 27, but many rumors have pointed to a new MacBook Pro that is more in line with the 12” Retina MacBook. The new MacBook Pro could also feature an OLED touch panel as a part of the keyboard.

Several other Mac models could be unveiled, as many have gone as long as years without receiving an update. Apple’s latest operating system, macOS Sierra, was made available for free download in September.
