OWC Drives Creativity and Innovation at 2017 NAB Show

OWC will be exhibiting a line-up of innovative new technology products, as well as sponsoring and participating in a number of showcases and events while at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

Renowned as the largest annual digital media conference and exhibit for industry experts specializing in the creation and distribution of all facets of entertainment, NAB 2017 will commence on Saturday, April 22, with exhibitor space open Monday, April 24 through Thursday, April 27. Located in Booth #SL8905, OWC will be showcasing the very newest additions to the OWC product line, as well as a wide selection of the accessories, storage and memory products (available at MacSales.com) that have made OWC the upgrade provider of choice for Apple and PC enthusiasts. OWC will also host daily raffles and giveaways, offering attendees opportunities to win a wealth of prizes.

Some of the newest pioneering products OWC will feature at NAB include:

The game-changing OWC DEC is the first-ever expansion solution designed specifically for the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro. The OWC DEC attaches completely flush to the bottom of the 2016 MacBook Pro, providing additional flash storage and connectivity, and ultimately increasing the performance of MacBook Pros. The OWC DEC will be available late in 2017.

Thunderbolt 3 technology offers limitless opportunities for content creators who expect the highest performance from their devices. The OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock offers an amazing 13 ports to drive two 4K displays, connect and charge up to six USB devices, work with legacy FireWire storage, read SD cards and more, all through a single Thunderbolt 3 cable.

The OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual Mini is a portable RAID powerhouse packing dual-drive, USB 3.1 Gen 3 performance into a portable, bus-powered form factor for high demand applications on the go. The OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual USB 3.1 Gen 1 is a next generation with Thunderbolt 2 technology and is the perfect RAID solution for workflows, archives and backups.

New this year in the OWC booth is the Guest Editing Station, featuring industry expert Lewis Smithingham (www.smithingham.com/1965025-about), who will be editing in real-time at the station, broadcast on a 90-inch screen in the booth. Check in at the booth for specific times.

OWC will be participating in a number of events during the show, including:

  • OWC will exhibit its top Thunderbolt products at The Thunderbolt Zone/StudioXperience at Booth #SL2425. OWC products will also be integrated into a custom designed broadcast workflow suite.
  • OWC is a Platinum Sponsor of SuperMeet, taking place at the Rio Hotel on Tuesday, April 25. This is a great opportunity for the postproduction and broadcast communities to learn about trending technology and network with other industry professionals.

  • Bring external SSD (portable and desktop) with USB 3.1 Type-C (reversible) Generation 2 and Thunderbolt 3 to boot Mac and work from it all day long. From 1TB to 16 TB.

  • Will you be finally announcing WHEN the DEC will be available? What good is showing it at NAB (another show) if we can’t purchase it?
