Mac Performance Guide: Don’t Only Rely on Time Machine for Backup

At the Rocket Yard, we’re constantly reminding our readers about the importance of having proper protection for their data. Disaster can strike anytime and anywhere, so it’s crucial that your most important media is backed up. 

Our friends at Mac Performance Guide also encourage a robust data backup plan that includes Apple’s Time Machine. However, as MPG points out, Time Machine shouldn’t be the only piece of your backup puzzle.

  • This is absolutely true, I just discovered that Time Machine had only been backing up the folders on one of my drives but not the CONTENTS of those folders. I lost a bunch of things :(
