🚀 TipOff #30: How to Find Your Mac’s Model Identifier Number

Sometimes it’s not good enough to simply know that you have a 15″ Macbook Pro from—I dunno—2012? No, maybe it’s 2013… I can’t remember…

That’s the problem if you are searching online for a memory upgrade or talking with Apple support, etc. You need the Model Identifier. Here’s where it is:

Apple > About This Mac > System Report

In the right pane, under “Hardware Overview” your Model Identifier will be listed (along with several other interesting tidbits of information).
