OWC Attends Monaco Better World Forum Gala 2019 in NYC

OWC attended the Monaco Better World Forum Gala 2019 in New York City on September 22, 2019, to take part in the Smart Climate Day activities – part of the United Nations Climate Action Summit week.

Created to respond to a humanitarian impulse coming from a society in need of authenticity and truth, the Better World Forum aims to be the voice and image of tomorrow’s world through a series of films and documentaries from different countries. By using the combined power of entertainment, technology, brands, and culture to ignite effective change, the Monaco Better World Forum aims to raise global awareness on environmental protection.

OWC has had a long-standing commitment to the environment, technology, and the arts, so the Better World Forum has been a natural fit for the company and its mission. Larry O’Connor, Founder and CEO, shared this while speaking to the Gala attendees:

“Even in the days when things were built to be upgradeable, systems were expensive and people didn’t know what they could do. Our company’s mission was to educate and help people – and to help make their systems go further and faster, and last longer.”

“As technology improved for other things – for power, for energy – our company invested in technologies that made our operation sustainable. We invested in solar. We invested in wind. And we did things because we wanted the world to be a better place for our kids, and the kids that they ultimately will have.”
