Akitio Node Titan

The Akitio Node Titan is an external Graphics Processing Unit Enclosure (eGPU) that transforms notebooks or other slot-less computers (Mac mini, iMac, NUC, etc.) into a high-performance gaming, video editing, and graphics workstation for a fraction of the cost of buying/building a new machine. It connects to a Thunderbolt 3-equipped computer and offers the power and space needed by today’s most popular double-wide full-length/full-height AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards. Play stunningly realistic high FPS games, perform rapid video renders and enjoy buttery smooth playback, run VR, AR, and animation apps, and use VR headsets without compromise.

The Akitio Node Titan is expected to be available in Q1 of 2020 through MacSales.com.

  • Thank you, thank you for bringing out the ThunderBay FLEX 8 here in the near future! I have wanted this design aesthetic and form factor for a while now but everywhere I could find it was sold out. Now I see why. There is a better and more awesome unit on the way. Heck yeah! I’ll be watching for the ThunderBay FLEX 8 to drop! \m/

  • Great, but please bring external portable SSD to boot Mac and work from them all day long, with large capacities (4 TB, 8 TB and 16 TB), WITHOUT any RAID inside (single SSD inside).

The current technology allows such developments (competitors are taking advantage now!), and we need thousands for our University. USB 3.1 Type-C Generation 2 (10 Gbps) or better and Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps). No encryption needed.
