Juneteenth Matters – OWC’s Commitment to Racial Equality

Today, we recognize and celebrate Juneteenth, the oldest national commemoration marking the day slaves were given their rightful freedom in the United States. It gives us pause to reflect and remember the ongoing struggle for racial equality in our country.

Recent events have given much-needed attention to the systemic racism prevalent in and through our society. At OWC, we affirm our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and safety for all Black people.

There is no doubt that our nation has a long way to go towards establishing equality for all. Still, as a company and team, we will forever stay committed to supporting a world that respects and celebrates humankind.

  • OWC Larry,

I share your sentiments. I hope OWC practices what you said in its hiring practices and promotions and assignments of responsibilities. Sometimes, in my experience in software industry, you have to put in extra effort in recruiting to make sure you are looking where you can find talented minorities and not just at the large public universities when seeking new college graduates.
Training on the job or by arranging off-site training for new hires so they can gain the fundamentals which they might not have had access to before.

OWC products have been my go-to company for my Mac, iPhone products and what I recommend to friends and to people with whom I consult about their Mac needs. Keep it up.
